Abandonyouridols

I've actually got a few pre-planned series in the works!
(I know, how un-me of me!)
But here they are--
--Pennies/Hearts: Abe Lincoln is leading back to a lot of things going on in my life right now, but it's all kind of hard to explain. Expect awesomeness.
--Shoes: A (long in the works) series of rock-music themed photos of shoes/shows.
--Steph's baby/pregnancy: They're kind of personal, so I don't know if they'll be posted here. But since Steph got pregnant, we've been planning some pictures of her big ol' belly and some for after the baby is born.


As for life news, my stream of awesomeness hasn't run out.
I've got a ladyfriend, graduation is coming up, and I'm uncharacteristically giddy about prom.

I decided at the last moment not to go to MCAD or SCAD till spring of 2010.
To be honest, it was a really difficult decision to make.

But I don't have a job, any money, I didn't get into scholarship stuff early enough, my portfolio could be WAY better, and I'm just not ready to go right now.

So the plan is to spend the next year preparing myself. I'm going to attend Scott (even though I really don't want to) for a while so that I'm still on my stepdad's health insurance. I'm going to intern at my stepdad's job over the summer for $15 an hour to save up some money, too.

I kind of feel like I gave up in some way, and I really feel like a failure. But it's more responsible of me to wait a year & be successful than to move away now & not be able to pay for college.

An organization for straight edge kids by straight edge kids.

We'll be selling shirts/hoodies, organizing shows, and I know there's going to be skateboarding involved but I'm not sure exactly what yet.

ihaveablackeye is the brainchild of my friends Jessy (who knows everything about anyone in bands around here, she'll be putting together the shows) and Kendall (skateboarder & all-around genius). They aked me to make/sell shirts and take pictures.


Around  the quad cities, we have a bunch of Edge kids, they're just not all in touch. We're trying to unite everyone and promote art/music/skateboarding at the same time.

...the mood is llama because I couldn't find busy.


But really, I've been too busy to get schoolwork done, much less get out to shoot photos. So I haven't been posting much lately.

I'm insanely behind in all my classes, so I'm staying home over thanksgiving instead of partying with everyone else to catch up.
Because I'm responsible like that, yo.
